Magic Kingdom is full of amazing photo spots! The iconic Cinderella Castle is the obvious choice for a photo but the Kingdom has some major insta-worthy picture spots that everyone having magical day in the parks shouldn’t miss! Here is my list of the Top 10 Must Take Pictures at the Magic Kingdom:
1. Park Entrance- Walt Disney World Railroad: Main Street, USA.
You made the trek from your resort on the monorail, boats and busses, you finally made it though the security check line, touched your magic band- Mickey to Mickey and scanned your fingerprint and the time has finally arrived! You are in THE MAGIC KINGDOM!! First thing you see is the “Welcome to The Magic Kingdom” sign hanging above the Walt Disney World Railroad station with the lovely Mickey flower bed aka the perfect spot for picture! You may have to wait for the crowd to clear a bit but trust me the wait will be worth it to complete your 10 Must Take Pictures at the Magic Kingdom!
2. Walt Disney World Railroad: Station Platform Overlooking Mainstreet USA
You have the perfect park entrance picture and you take your first steps into the Magic Kingdom by walking under the railroad breezeway. If you take the curved steps up onto the railroad platform you will find the perfect spot to take in all that the Magic Kingdom has to offer! You can see straight down Main Street, USA and take in the views of Cinderella Caste, and it proves to be a perfect place to snap a photo!
3. Balloons on Main Street, USA
Continuing into The Magic Kingdom walking down Main Street, USA you’ll begin to smell the wonderful Confectionary, Main Street Bakery, and The Parlour Ice Cream Shop- but don’t go too far! The wonderful Cast Members spread along Main Street, USA holding the ginormous bouquets of balloons is your next picture spot! (And probably my favourite picture I ever took at Disney!). Kindly ask the Cast Member if you can take a picture holding the balloons and they will cheerfully hand you the strings so you can take a quick snap!
4. The Partners Statue
You will soon find yourself staring at the beautiful Cinderella Castle but you have to make sure you do not miss out on your picture with the Partners statue that is positioned right in front of the castle. This iconic statue showcases Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse holding hands and is a must-take photo to remember the magic that Walt Disney created! Often they will have a PhotoPass cast member waiting to take your picture which makes it super convenient to capture this special moment!
5. Castle Breezeway- Tile Mosaic Murals
You have finally made it to Cinderella Castle and the most beautiful picture spot of the five tile mosaic murals telling the story of Cinderella and how she met the prince! This is the most magical spot to take a picture but takes a bit of timing as the breezeway gets super busy with all the people walking through to get to Fantasyland! The best time to try to get a picture is while the stage show “Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire” is on (which happens about 5 times a day and is the cutest must see show!). While the show is on doors will be closed in the front of the castle to the breezeway but you will still be able to access the murals from the castle courtyard in Fantasyland. During the show you don’t have the traffic in the breezeway so you will be able to get a picture with no one in it!
6. Gaston’s Fountain: Gaston’s Tavern in Fantasyland
As you wander through Fantasyland you will stumble upon Gaston’s Tavern! Before you head inside for a taste of the most wonderful cinnamon bun stop and take a picture with the magnificent fountain featuring a statue of Gaston! This is especially cool at night when the fountain is all lit up! Try and get a picture here when the fireworks is on, it makes for an unforgettable moment!
7. Purple Wall
A cast member favourite and gaining popularity among Instagrammer’s is the Purple Wall in Tomorrowland. This wall is located right by the entrance of Tomorrowland. After you walk through the archway turn right and you’ll see a small walkway beside a building- a building with a purple wall! Although is seems simple (just a purple wall after all), the purple makes for a super cute backdrop to snap a cute pic of you in your Mickey Ears!
8. Dole Whip in Adventureland
Dole Whip is one of my favourite Disney snacks! You will find this yummy pineapple treat in Adventureland at Aloha Isle. The cute moroccan themed walls and tapestries around Aladdin’s Magic Carpets provide a super cute picture spot for you and your Dole Whip so you can remember the countless times you ate this wonderful treat on a hot Summer day in the park! So grab your fiends and your snack and get a cute candid pic!
9. Splash Mountain Selfie!
Splash Mountain is one of the bigger thrill rides at The Magic Kingdom and what better way to document going down an 80 foot drop by taking a selfie on the way down! This was so much fun to take and really captured the wild ride we took! Disclaimer: Make sure you have a waterproof camera or phone case both with a wrist strap so you don’t lose or ruin your camera or phone!
10. Cinderella Castle at Night
Everyone knows that when you go to The Magic Kingdom a must have photo is with Cinderella Castle! A must take photo that proves a little bit different is getting a picture with the castle at night. The castle is beautifully lit with wonderful colours and having a picture with the castle at night will remind you of all the nighttime fun The Magic Kingdom has to offer! I perfect way to end your day at the park is a picture with you and Cinderella Castle!
